This talk looked at using Generative AI to help write the code that builds API integrations: where it works, where it struggles, and what to watch for.

What I covered

The possibilities and limits of using AI to optimise OpenAPI specifications, the kinds of code LLMs generate well versus poorly, and the technical, legal, and human considerations of using them to write code. I also shared a framework for adopting Generative AI for code at an organisational level, and where LLMs fit into the existing API tooling and developer experience landscape.
