Hosting Pakistan's first API community panel

My colleagues and I present at API conferences around the world, but community events back home in Pakistan were missing. So we started one.

What we discussed

I hosted a panel with Asim Ghaffar, Ameer Hassan, Riyan Imdad, and Abdullah Mohsin on their experience building APIs for telcos and the public sector. We talked through the opportunities around open governance and open banking in Pakistan, building engineering teams, the phases of the API lifecycle, and where monetizable APIs could go next. This first event gave us a feel for the API community in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, with more focused sessions to follow.
